Job Brief

The VP of Product Marketing (VPPM) is charged with owning market success of Advisor360°’s product lines—turning product capabilities into differentiated, compelling stories that win mindshare and revenue. Sitting within the Marketing organization, this executive will lead positioning, messaging, pricing & packaging, competitive intelligence, and go‑to‑market (GTM) execution for all platform capability areas (Analytics & Reporting, Advisor Workstation, Home Office Tools, WealthOS, embedded AI). The VPPM acts as the connective tissue between Product Management (PM) and the revenue engine—ensuring market insight informs the roadmap and that every launch lands with measurable impact.

Here's What You'll Do:

Strategic Positioning & Messaging:

  • Craft and continuously refine value propositions, narratives, and customer stories for each capability pillar and persona (advisor, home‑office, CIO, COO).
  • Translate complex functionality (e.g., multi‑custodial data normalization, real‑time compliance) into business outcomes and emotional drivers.

Market & Competitive Intelligence:

  • Lead a CI function that maps TAM, buyer needs, and competitive dynamics across wealth‑tech and fintech adjacencies.
  • Deliver win/loss analysis, market sizing, and pricing elasticity studies that inform product and commercial strategy.

Go‑to‑Market Ownership:

  • Own launch tiering framework, readiness checklists, and integrated GTM plans (sales plays, campaigns, enablement assets, analyst outreach).
  • Partner with Demand Generation to convert positioning into pipeline‑driving programs; set launch KPIs (MQLs, SQLs, win rate uplift).

Pricing, Packaging & Commercial Strategy

  • Define monetization models (subscription, usage‑based, tiered modules) in alignment with Finance, RevOps, and PM.
  • Run pricing research and champion value‑based pricing discipline.

Sales & Partner Enablement

  • Arm global Sales and Channel teams with playbooks, battlecards, objection‑handling guides, and segment‑specific collateral.
  • Drive certification programs to ensure >90% seller fluency on key value propositions.

Thought Leadership & Analyst Relations

  • Establish Advisor360° as a category leader through content, events, boutique and tier 1 (Gartner/Forrester) analyst relationships.
  • Serve as executive spokesperson at industry conferences and in media.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Build, mentor, and retain a high‑performing product marketing organization.
  • Foster a culture of data‑driven decision‑making, agility, and cross‑functional collaboration.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in product marketing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within B2B SaaS. Experience in wealthtech or fintech is required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in product marketing for complex, multi-stakeholder platforms, with a deep understanding of advisor, home office, and enterprise buyer personas.
  • Proven success in owning go-to-market strategy for multiple product lines, including developing integrated launch plans, sales plays, and enablement programs that drive measurable revenue impact.
  • Deep experience in enablement, including building certification programs, developing sales playbooks and objection-handling guides, and increasing seller fluency across global teams.
  • Strong capabilities in positioning, messaging, and segmentation, with a track record of translating sophisticated product functionality into compelling customer value narratives.
  • Demonstrated leadership in competitive intelligence, including building CI programs, managing win/loss analysis, and delivering actionable insight to Sales and Product teams.
  • Effective cross-functional collaborator, able to influence Product, Sales, Revenue Operations, and Demand Gen to align roadmap and GTM efforts.
  • Experienced spokesperson and storyteller, with the ability to lead analyst relations, represent the company at industry events, and support thought leadership efforts.
  • Demonstrated success building, mentoring, and retaining high-performing product marketing teams with a strong culture of accountability, agility, and impact.
  • Analytical and data-driven; skilled in leveraging market insight and performance metrics to refine strategy and optimize results.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
